Welcome to The Gourmet blog.

My name is Ryan and I created The Gourmet Foodie blog as a way to document my adventures in the kitchen. While the title of this blog might suggest that I know all there is to know about food I humbly admit that I don’t. Not even close. I do however, have a passion for food and photography that I want to share with as many people as I can.

I love to make things from scratch yet realize that sometimes things that come in a box can be just as good as the things you have made by hand. I have a loving wife Jessica who I affectionately call Jess that supports me 100% even though she sometimes feels I’ve lost it.
